Yoon Ji Kwon, graphic designer

About

My name is Yoon Ji and I’ve been creating graphic designs for web and print media since I discovered Photoshop when I was 13.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from The University of Hong Kong, and I’m currently working as a digital marketing executive in a biotech company.

My previous research topics were investigating role of intervertebral disc pathology in Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (spine deformity), and elucidating DNA repair pathways that are regulated by post-translational modifications, especially in context of cancer cell formation.

I love transforming data and numbers into graphics and images that are easy to understand for both scientists and the masses. I’m passionate about scientific literacy, fighting health misinformation and building communication and trust between scientists and the general public.

Other than graphic design, I love learning new software and digital skills. I use HTML, CSS and Javascript to build websites, and work with Google and Facebook marketing tools.
